Grade 8 Collaborative Masterpiece

MYP Unit: Maps, Communication and Boundaries

Each student was given a unique section of a shared canvas and complete creative freedom to develop their own visual language, technique, and style. Working within defined boundaries while responding to the work of their peers, students explored how individual artistic choices can communicate ideas and contribute to a larger collective composition.

The project encouraged students to consider how boundaries can both separate and connect us, while developing communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills. The final artwork became a diverse yet unified composition that celebrates individual identity within a shared space.
