Art Teacher Srdan Ilic

"Art Is the Highest Form of Hope"

Bringing art teaching to a higher level

My name is Srdan Ilic and I originally come from Serbia, where I studied to be an Art Teacher. I have been teaching & working in Europe, United States, and Asia. I like to travel, meet new people and explore new cultures. I like to draw, paint, take photos, but most of all, I love pineapples!

I see art as a path that allows us to reach new and interesting ways of seeing, exploring, and experiencing the world around us.

As an Art Teacher, I always like to discover new ways of teaching and experiencing the world of art through my lessons. This means going above and beyond conventional limits to reach new horizons, and bringing a unique learning experience to all my students. In my Art lessons, I like to implement the STEAM approach, which uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding students inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.

Working in educational institutions, I have developed a proven method that elevates Art lessons to a higher level. Creative cycle is unique way of approach to Art Teaching, which allows for a successful integration of the Art Program into school's curriculum. It also gives new opportunities for correlations between Art and other subjects.

Due to unprecedented circumstances, I have become very familiar with using online programs that allow successful Art teaching online, such as Zoom, Google Classroom, Padlet, Telegram, and Youtube.
