Group Painting- the Biggest Christmas Tree

A part of my student's curriculum was learning about shapes, and their properties. In this activity, each shape was assigned a color: triangles were green, squares were purple, circles were yellow. Students were then divided into two groups,  tasked to work together on a huge christmas tree, which would, after completed, be a great classroom decoration, and a monument to their collaboration!

This activity was carried on, giving students the opportunity to paint an even larger Christmas tree! In this activity, students were painting with sponges using pre- made stencils. This huge project was made on a temporary wall on campus. It has given students the freedom to express and enjoy painting a huge christmas tree outside.
